About the Position:
The Parts Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the efficient management and coordination of the parts supply chain. This role is critical in maintaining operational efficiency by managing inventory levels, procuring parts, coordinating deliveries, and meticulously maintaining records. The Parts Coordinator will work closely with various departments to ensure timely availability of parts contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Receive and process parts orders from internal departments or external vendors
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts
  • Track the movement of parts from receipt to distribution, coordinating distribution to various departments or locations as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of parts inventory, orders, and deliveries
  • Generate reports on inventory status, usage, and trends
  • Inspect incoming parts for quality, address issues with quality or discrepancies in orders
  • Build and maintain positive vendor relationships with suppliers
  • Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate pricing
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions
  • Streamline parts management processes to increase efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Adhere to regulator requirements related to parts management
  • Provide training and support to staff on parts management procedures
  • Assist in resolving parts-related issues or inquires
  • Ensure that all parts and materials meet safety standards
  • Maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in inventory management or related field preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Practiced documentation skills.
  • Communicate effectively in a variety of settings.
  • Pays attention to detail.
  • Approaches work in a meticulous and thorough manner.
  • Has excellent attendance and completes quality work on time.
  • Conscientiously and methodically approaches work.
Position Requirements:
  • Satisfactory Pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical required.
  • Possesses a valid State Driver’s license
Physical Demands/ Work Environment:
The individual will perform physically demanding work during his or her shift. The individual may stand over eight hours per day, lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds, and potentially be exposed to dust, hazardous materials, non-hazardous materials, paint and exhaust fumes. Utilization of protective equipment is mandatory. Must be dependable, self-motivated, able to work independently and as a team member.
